Bandit had triplets. A big buckling, and two very tiny doelings. Raechel named the Buckling Sleepy Bear :) Faithy named the smallest black doe Grace, and Kela named the whiter doe Ninja.

Grace died late Wednesday night, March 2nd. She never could walk. It was very sad. We are bottle feeding Ninja, because she was stuck under a board when she was first born and her mama rejected her.

Sleepy bear is nursing from his mama and doing well.

Ninja is taking a bottle and seems to be thriving!

We bred all our girls with Jackson for February or March babies next year. We will see what good little goaties we will get. We hope for healthy pregnancies and good, easily deliveries for all our girlies.

Alpine grade doe

We got Belle from Harold Marshall in South Carolina, along with her dam, Patches in 2009. Sadly Patches, who was quite old at age 16, passed away in January of 2010.

We attempted to breed Patches and Belle to a Saanen buck in Lower Salem, OH in the fall of 2009. She might have been bred and then miscarried. No babies. :(

She was with our Nigerian Dwarf buck Jackson this 2010 breeding season for 6 weeks from July 24 til September 5th. Hopefully she took, I am anxious to see Alpine/Nigerian Dwarf crosses!

She might not ever take, because she had never been bred and she was 5 years old when we got her.

We have the posts set and the walls mostly up. We will be working on getting the top board all around for the roof trusses to set on... (SORRY! I know zero technical terms, even though my dad and hubby are both in construction!! LOL) hopefully this week!

We decided on a red barn with a light grey roof! I am excited!! :)

Milking!

We have been milking Bandit. She gives about a pint a day. But I am sure my inexpert handling has something to do with the small amount. Plus the fact that I happen to be a klutz and spill about half the milk on the front porch! :)

However, her milk is so sweet and yummy! I use it on my cereal every morning, and enjoy it very much.

I think she might be pregnant, too, which if she is, that could also prove to be a reason she is not producing much at this time.

I hope to have many more milking goats in the future, and hopefully I will soon have a barn to milk them in and a stand to milk them on! :)

These are not high qulaity pictures. We have lost our camera and not been able to find it.

Kids with the kids :) This is 2 of my 4 daughters and two of my 3 nieces.

This is Jillian, or as we call her Jilly-bean. She is precious. :)

This lil fella is our Buck, and future herdsire: Honey Hollow Jackson. We like to call him Jackie-boy or Mr Fluffball, or Fluffster :) He is so sweet. No stinky yet :) He still follows us around like a lil puppy, and the girls sit out there and brush him and play with him all day long in the sunshine. :)

This is our Boer/milker mix, and one of our original goaties: Bella... her nickname (of course she has one) is Bella-boo :)

My oldest daughter (age 14) took these pics with me holding the babies. they are respectively: Comma, Llama, and Pajama. Are they not the sweetest lil ole bundles?!

Spring time!

Everyone's hooves got trimmed today and we wormed everyone (Except Jillian and Jackson who've already been wormed) with Ivermectin.

Everyone seems to be doing well, although Alice, our Boer/milker mix, seems a bit mopey at times. I hope the Ivermectin helps!!

The new babies are all three nursing and bouncing off the walls, literally! It is a joy to watch them :) Bandit is a good mama. The kids play for a while, then go nurse, play a little more, nurse a little more, then take a nap. I love babies :)

Jillian arrived on Saturday, and she is petite and sweet and adorable! We already nicknamed her Jilly-bean :)

I also nicknamed Jackson. I call him Jackie-boy half the time!

So, today, Jackson was going nuts! Because....

We brought home these beautiful goaties today! Meet Just 4 Fun Bandit and her three daughters - Comma, Llama, and Pajama!
